Parit Bugis Homestay

The Johore’s Homestay Programme is uniquely designed for tourists to experience the rural folk’s way of life, their sincere and heart-warming hospitality. A whole new exciting day awaits you at PARIT BUGIS HOMESTAY, where everyday is a new and memorable experience.

Parit Bugis Homestay gives you the opportunity to experience the true Malaysian “kampong’ life” and to appreciate the wonderful malay culture through a package where you get to enjoy the warm hospitality of villagers and be apart of them by joining them in their daily activities.

The village was founded in the year 1909 by the Bugis ethnics led by Daeng Saribut and Daeng Abu Bakar for the growth of rubber. Due to the infertility of the land, they then migrated to a different area. The next group of people, the settlers from Kabupaten Ponorogo, Java mainland, explored the kampong and developed the whole area into coconut plantation till today.
